About the Speakers
Andi is the Founder and Strategy Director of Eximo Marketing, a Bangor-based marketing strategy consultancy. Originally from Bradford (so with the proper pronunciation of “eight” but horribly flat vowels) Andi has worked with a number of global brands and some of Northern Ireland’s biggest businesses to develop and implement marketing campaigns.
He holds an MSc in Marketing from Ulster University, is a regular conference speaker and a guest lecturer at Liverpool John Moores University. You should also know that Andi likes to talk, at length, about being a dad, his BBQ, rugby league, cricket, boxing and his fundraising project, Eximo & Friends.
Gil has spent over 13 years in sales, marketing and business management roles since graduating from Lancaster University with a BSc Hons Degree in Marketing and has over 5 years’ experience running Facebook Ads, which he now specialises in since setting up his consultancy Run DMG in 2017.
In that period he has worked for a range of clients from local businesses to health and beauty chains and e-commerce stores, online coaches, nationwide fitness franchises, events companies, sports teams and more across the UK and US with budgets ranging from a few hundred pounds a month to £150k+. Brands he has worked for include: Telefonica, Energie Fitness, Sana Jardin perfume, GymFit4Less, Salon Supplies and more as well as consulting for advertising agencies all over the world.’
Northern Ireland’s Content Queen, Tina Calder is a journalist and commentator of 20 years, a publicist of 12 and a multi-platform media professional. The Belfast entrepreneur owns publicity management agency Excalibur Press based in the city’s Cathedral Quarter.
From travelling across the UK and Ireland as a showbiz reporter, publicist and tour manager to becoming an award winning business journalist, Tina uses her varied and colourful career experiences to deliver bespoke publicity and communications strategies.
To put it bluntly she’ll show you how to get stuff done!
Leanne Gannon from She & Co is an expert in social media and influencer marketing and she will walk you through everything you need to about working with influencers.
Darren set up NI EXPLORER in 2016; working for a CQ-based digital marketing agency at the time. Documenting his passion for all-things-Northern Ireland and adventure, NI EXPLORER has grown from a personal hobby blog site to a multi-platform digital channel; inspiring others to explore NI and enabling him to now work freelance with like-minded individuals, local businesses and brands.
