Destination CQ is delighted to be sponsoring the Best Creative Business category in this year’s Belfast Business Awards.
The awards, organised by the Belfast Chamber, represent the best in business across the city and have 21 categories across a variety of sectors.
With the rich history of the city in innovating, a reputation for invention, businesses large and small have established and flourished in the past and at present with many centred around the Cathedral Quarter.
Entries for the awards, including for the Creative Business category, close on March 22, and Destination CQ BID Manager, Gareth Neill, is urging all organisations to consider entering.
“These awards are not only prestigious but can add to the credibility and reputation of companies,” he said.
“I know that in the Cathedral Quarter and across the city there is a wealth of talent.
“From creators, makers, collaborators, creators of software and hardware, designers and inventors through to any company that has taken a creative path this is an award worth entering.
“It could be any business, solicitors, architects, retail outlets or engineering companies, all they need to do is show how they have been creative in their development.”
Gareth said that the BID area had its heart an ethos of creativity.
He added: “Cathedral Quarter has great examples of innovative businesses leading the way throughout Belfast’s resurgence; an innovative area that has always challenged the norm with fantastic results.
“The capital of most creative businesses is their people, unlike traditional business relying on equipment or buildings – CQ BID recognises that it is the innovators in Belfast, past, present and future that need to be recognised with our sponsorship of this award.”
Last year Groundswell in CQ won Best Digital Business in 2018 Awards, a leading E-Commerce and Digital Marketing agency.
The benefits of entering and perhaps winning is the added credibility with new customers, suppliers and when pitching to potential clients, as well as the accolades and prestige. And, it serves as a recognition of the staff contribution to business success.
Rajesh Rana, President of Belfast Chamber of Trade and Commerce said: “These are set to be our best and most celebratory Belfast Business Awards to-date, recognising an absolutely outstanding calibre of business in the City.
“Boosting confidence, competitiveness and creativity are just three of the many benefits that winning a Belfast Business Award can help promote.
“Belfast may be small in terms of geography, but it is safe to say that we really do punch well above our weight. This city is proud to house home-grown businesses which are doing trade on a stratospheric scale and we as a Chamber want to recognise and reward them.
“This City has exceptional talent, deserving of their place on the world stage, and the Belfast Business Awards are such a great opportunity for businesses to get their head above the parapet and celebrate their successes and their people.”
